I am a business major/designer who turned to encaustic art as a healing resource after being diagnosed with Scleroderma.
I love encaustic ...using fire and beeswax to create art.
Even with what looks to be an epic fail in one of my paintings, often ends up being a glorious underpainting in an art piece. Encaustic painting reminds me of how God transforms our brokenness into something more beautiful than we can even imagine.
Three things I am inspired by:
Resilient people
Fabulous flea markets
How God creates beauty from ashes.
Four things on my Studio Table:
Recycled Copper Fragments
Uncertainty
Tins of molten beeswax
A glass of wine on late evenings
